curiouser and curiouser

we'll take a break from Butterfly this week and revisit Alice. These are the paper dolls I have made thus far...they still require interesting backgrounds/borders/what not. I always appreciate feedback!

the queen of hearts (off with her HEAD!)and croquet flamingo and hedgehog

a lovely little Alice with striped socks and various edibles (eat me) (drink me)

the white rabbit (oh my ears and whiskers! i fear i shall be late!)

the caterpillar with a long cigarette, mushroom and attachable wing

i hope someday to add these to my etsy shop, ideally in some kind of book form, but we shall see, yes, yes.

I love them! I think the Queen is my favorite. I'm actually reading this right now so I'm in quite an Alice mood :)

Oh I love these so much! I would definitely get these to frame if possible - have always loved Alice in Wonderland.

The store I'm one of the managers in (in the UK) is having the costumes from the National Ballet's production of Alice in Wonderland for the Christmas windows, and to display in store. Can't wait to see them!

~marvelous! tho i do hope to see the mad hatter & cheshire cat, i absolutely cannot wait to snatch up every one of these you make. thank you for sharing such novel ideas.

as for backgrounds: forests, chestboards, tea parties and croquet matches {in particular: the moment alice meets the knight, when alice is with the red queen being shown the "country" marked out like a large chessboard{both events in through the looking-glass}, the tea party with the hatter, march hare and narcoleptic dormouse and of course the queens infamous croquet match} :) happy painting.
