this is a new clay doll commissioned for a lovely lady on etsy aiming to get a 1920's, flapper-esq themed doll. I am quite pleased with her! Here are my two latest dolls together, cavorting no doubt! and this should give you a sense of how they are made and strangeness of having little, extra limbs lying about!
This post is 6 months in the making! This paper doll was a commission for the Fall issue of Young Reader, a division for Doll Reader Magazine geared toward children. Because of the youth and naivety of my audience this paper doll is decidedly less dark than my usual. But I daresay there is a glimmer of something in that wolf's eye! (six months because that was the deal of our contract before I could sell it) so look for it now in my etsy shop!
